Ultima Dia de preperation en el CCM

Familia!

Hola Family! First off I hope everyone's day goes well today, I feel blessed to be able to have gone to the temple today and be so close to Heavenly Father and His angels. I know He cares for you all and families can truly be forever. So I received your Dear Elders and news of Troy on Tuesday which was right after our Devotional-which I know the devotional was inspired because it was on prayer and the power of prayer. I have always had a special spot for prayer in my heart because I know it is real and I know our Heavenly Father loves and cares for us. When I read the news of Troy I felt so bad that I couldn't be there for Grandma and the family-but thanks to the reminder in the Devotional I know that through my prayers the Lord will comfort and the Lord knows his children better than anyone. I feel bad because I felt like I should have written Grandma an email last week but I decided not to and just included a thank you in the main email ..now I know that was a prompting from the Lord and I hope I can learn from that to never brush off things that may seem small. Also I sent dad my remarks for the funeral, hopefully he gets them in time.

Alrighty well here I am on my Last P-day in the MTC. Can you believe it?! because I sure CAN NOT!! I am so excited for the new adventure in my life! One quote I remember form Sunday, I think from Music and the Spoken Word or Relief Society was "life begins where you comfort zone ends" so I have more of my life beginning in just a couple days as I prepare to head to Chile, speaking with strangers in a different language-but I know I will love it and I am determined to work hard! I am sad to leave the MTC and all the people I have met here and it's sad to be done teaching my investigators...if I am sad now I can not even imagine what it will be like when I get transferred in the field!

Sunday night the Littlefield's spoke to us. Brother Littlefield is part of the pre-mission field something or other. They spoke on miracles and how it's by the Grace of God or Atonement that we can do all things. And that we can not give up in hard times because in those hard times it's our agency that we get to exercise and our faith is needed to show what we can do..and Heavenly Father is willing to give us blessings and miracles in our lives. We just need to have the faith and press forward and believe that they can happen. As I sat in this meeting I pondered about investigators and how we as missionaries need to continue to have faith in investigators and others to show that we know what faith is-it would be hypocritical of us to ask our investigators to show their faith and get baptized, when we aren't showing any in them. So yes it was a big learning experiences for me to understand and how we can not get frustrated with investigators or need more time we all need to realize everything is line upon line, precept upon precept- it doesn't come all at once, especially in missionary work- I learn new things every day. I have learned more about teaching and teaching skills this week- I feel like that has been one of our weaknesses as a companionship in planning lessons and trying to make it simple...we just keep finding great things we want or feel they need when really we just need to keep it simple for those who don't know anything about the gospel.

Tuesday night I sang in the choir for my last time :(. We sang "A Marvelous Work"...which is such an awesome song because it's based off of D&C4 (obviously) and it also has the part of the choirs from spirit of God in it..it was a fun song. I love feeling the spirit here and the strength of missionary work and knowing that yea I can't do this on my own, but I have been set apart as one of the Lord's servants and he is here to help me bring forth his Gospel. I am so grateful for my opportunity to share the gospel and for the Lord giving me what I needed in my life to be here at this time. Oh on Sunday they commented again about how we were probably one of the biggest missionary group ever in the MTC ever haha it was funny how they worded it. So yea I already gave my comments form Tuesday Devotional on prayer I just love that he touched on the fact that prayer is power- I know that is so true, prayer is power because God is power and God is real, which makes prayer real. When in doubt pray and keep going, the Lord will help us

Our district got to host yesterday.  I wore my scarf Kari gave me to remember her...and guess who I got to host-yup Kari!!! It was so exciting. I took her to her room, dragged our luggage up the stairs AND she lives in my same building on the same floor! It was great to see her...of course we didn't get a picture together yet...but don't you worry it will happen soon. I was so glad to see her..I was praying that I would be able to see her before I left on Monday  now I know where her classroom is and eveything :) It was fun to catch up with her real fast while we were getting ready for bed..ps she found a boy in 6 weeks?! WHAT..I am glad she is out here though, she will love it and learn so much.

I received the package yesterday  so thanks mom! I will be sending some stuff home today hopefully..I think I am gonna send my big PMG's back home- they just weigh so much. Speaking of packages I had one delivered like last week/Friday so I went to go get it and they had a ton of people there at the same time..anyway long story short they gave it to someone else and that person still hasn't returned it..so I didn't receive a package and I don't know who it is from either..I was disappointed.  I hope it wasn't something important and I would hope whoever received it would have returned it but they haven't. Also Hermana Stott's mom sent her soup through the 1 day thing.

Yea I kinda wish Mom could be here to pack me up again..I am kinda freakin out about packing- I may start a bit today just because we only get like an hour Saturday or something. Oh and Me and Hermana Stott only have one more day of running together on the track- that track is sure going to miss us.

So yea i think i will call when i get to Miami, I am not sure what time that makes it here I believe we land at 2:35-8:25 Miami time, if you Dear Elder me the time difference and let me know when is a good time to call home..I'll try to work around that, and yes I bought a calling card, which I will call home with quarters first to make sure you are home than call back with the calling card....ps I sure hope there aren't any storms here in Utah so I can get outta here :). I love you all! Kate and Rachel thanks for your emails! I will write you back today during laundry sorry I don't have time right now, just know I totally appreciate them and I love hearing about the nieces!! Also Corinne, thanks for the Dear Elder...I sure hope I can still like Tay Swift and One Direction or do you have to like one or the other..this is hard :)

Mom, the book you are reading by Elder Bednar sounds amazing, put that on the list of books I should read when I get home. Well I love you all. I think that's about all for now. I'll talk to the fam Monday-AHH crazy, wish me luck in packing..honestly we all know we have to be more worried about me packing than me living in a different country. It's going to be great, mom don't worry yourself sick, because it sounds like you have been sick enough lately! Please everyone get better..the nurse specialties sister in our district has walking pneumonia and than an elder has a cold...so we are like stay away, I am so glad I've been healthy here. Okay I really have to end this now. Love you all!!

Feliz Valentines Day!

My Dearest Family and Friends!

Well I was able to start off my Valentines Day so perfect by going to the Temple. We did initiatories this morning so we got done a bit earlier and we decided to email before studying for some reason. First things first, I got Grandma's email- loved it, so thanks for the email Grandma! Hope everything continues to go well and you continue to feel better!! It's nice to be in a building where the weather doesn't really effect me much, sometimes it feels like we are in a snow globe when the snow is falling softly. It's kinda of fun. Speaking of weather, Madre you should look up the weather in Chile for me so I have an idea of what it will be like...because I should be getting my travel plans tomorrow!!!! Ah it's so crazy, of course I am nervous of not understanding what is being said, but I am so excited to just get out there and love the people and work so much...it's crazy how fast the MTC experience has gone-I can't imagine how fast time will fly in the field.  And Mom, Jacqueline-Engaged...keep me updated on her wedding date.I received the Valentine package I think on Saturday ..I don't know, days just combine when you are here..I really have no recollection of day or time a lot, which is why planning is so important to make sure we get done what we need/want to in a timely manner. I received Valentines from Maddy and Penny, and I loved the picture of my nieces...ADORABALE- so thanks so much for the picture Rach! Jonathan, your letter came on the perfect day- so thank you- I was just having one of those selfish days where I was thinking more about me and how I wasn't doing this or that right, but I just loved the advice that is so true, we are never alone! That day we also watched a part of Elder Bednar's talk where he talks about sometimes we worry so much about having the Spirit with us or knowing that it was a spiritual prompting but he shared a story from his mission where he gave the 20 (whatever money is called where he served) not knowing why...he went on to explain when we are being good boys and good girls and keeping our covenants we will have the Spirit and we will be prom ted to say/do things even if we don't realize it...we may not realize what we received was a spiritual prompting till later on down the road...Elder Bednar didn't find out until 20 yrs later..I wish I could give you more detail of the story or remember the talk, I just don't want to mesh the story together. But yea try to find it-it's amazing!

I loved Dad's carta (letter) in the fact that he talked about the parables of Christ because I just read Luke13...and looked for the ways Jesus taught, the theme for the week believe it or not has been LOVE...it's just so great to step back and realize we are here to love support and lift up and help others come to Christ. On Sunday Elder Lusvardi spoke about talking and spending time converts and investigators- I loved his talk because he focused on being sincere friends to everyone and creating honest relationships- they way we live our life is another testament along with the Book of Mormon that Jesus is the Christ! And he also talked about there will be those days when things aren't going right and you just don't want to go outside but we just have to keep working and miracles will happened..it's just a bigger testimony to me that Satan is real and he knows when we will have great success and he is trying his hardest to stop us-which is another reason for the mission rules, we need this extra rules to stay closer to our Heavenly Father. Sunday night we watched the talk by Elder Bednar(Characteristics of Christ) Ah it is such a great talk! I don't know if you can find talks given in the MTC but if you can look it up, he just focused on the fact that we need to be thinking outward a lot more than inward and how the Savior always was turning outward when the natural man would want to turn inward. Tuesday's devotional was  amazing as well! Gregory A Schwitzer of the 70 talked about the parables of Christ teaching and how when we are strengthened, we strengthen our brother. One thing I really loved that he touched on was everywhere we go ask new converts to tell us their story, because they think it's for us but really it's for them to bear their testimony and to remember and feel why they are part of this church. He focused on the parable of the lost sheep and how the shepherd didn't pull the one sheep back, he lifted the one sheep and put him on his shoulders...it's great to be reminded to find the one and to lift them don't pull them and show them the joy this gospel brings. Ah I just learned so much on loving this week, I wish I could put it in better words. It's hard being in the MTC learning the doctrine and trying to make sure we teach the doctrine in our lessons, but really it's about showing love and bringing the gospel to them in love and helping them apply it to their lives. I just need to remind myself, I know the gospel principles and doctrine if I just show love and care for the people I will be lead by the Spirit even if I don't know it- and know what from the gospel they need to hear. Like I said it's really hard for me to balance that and to make sure they are learning the doctrine as well..but I know they are and I've definitely got a lot to learn in the field about teaching!

Um let's see I probably say this in every letter but I truly love realizing more and more each day how important prayer is everyday and at every moment. As missionaries we need the spirit with us all the time...which means prayer. I know our Heavenly Father is mindful of each and every one of us and his willing to hear and answer our prayers as long as we continue to do what is right and ask him. I love learning more about true conversation and how conversion is continually doing what is right. I am so thankful for such great examples I have in my life of truly converted family and friends who continue to go to church, serve, and keep covenants, read scriptures and do what it takes daily to be a disciple of Christ.
Let's see so Friday i saw Kari's friend Katie while we did TRC's so that was fun. Tell Kari good luck and that we better see each other at least once while she is here and before I leave! The MTC is great, just don't stress, it's not needed. I have been stressing a lot about one of our investigators but like I learned I just need to show love and help him. My teachers and district are great- we have a lot of solid missionaries in our district, I am glad that we all-except one are going to the same mission, it will be fun to maybe come back on the same plane with the sisters at the end...not that I'm thinking of the end already..it's just nice to be able to be going to the same mission as my district and to be able to share experiences with them.
OH i also got a v-day package from Collin  ha guess what it was? A Louis (from onedirection) figurine- I just love when you know people know it...he'll be like my Stanley i'll take pictures with him everywhere. Also I received a Postcard from Brittany Lentz in Hawaii...ah it made me miss her and Hawaii ..tell her thanks on facebook if you get a chance! Hermana stott FINALLY received pictures of her family-they are beautiful and i love being able to see families. Me and Hermana Stott have continued our running and weight lifting routine-it's great to have her as support in working out and teaching the gospel. We have been able to be open and share our thoughts and feelings with each other which is great- I hope I can continue to do this with all my companions and show truly compassion for them.

OH I forgot to say on Sunday night with Elder Lusvardi's talk he had a family he had taught in Argentine or Brazil(I don't remember) they had come up to the pulpit-they didn't know English and they were just so sweet, it got be super excited to go to Chile and teach real families. Here I also found in my journal what I wrote down for signs of conversion. they are 1. should always makes and keeps commitment (receiving blessings makes us want more and can't wail til God gives another commandment- this kind of reminded me of one having the desire to go receive their endowments. 2. Develop desire to serve in church and serve others and 3. Share the truth you have received with others. I love this and I can't wait to apply it in my life and it also made me like I said earlier think of all you and how such great examples you are to being true converts to the church  thanks! I can't wait to hopefully be an example and help brings others to this church who have the desire to be truly converted.

So lets see as I was writing this I realized I have a run in my tights...yea I think I've gone through like 2 pairs of nylons and 1 pair of tights and I haven't even left the MTC yet..welcome to the life of Hermana Anderson...Ah and this are my nice brown tights...so if you can find any nice brown tights sure send them my way. Sorry this email may be a little scattered..the real main topic is really love and joy, just remember to teach with love because this gospel is so joyous...let others see that in you! So I may be sending home my bigger PMG English and Spanish .since i bought a small one here..the less weight the better. Well I am glad Corinne is busy (I guess) ha I hope my sisters are being nice to each other and realize that they are best friends-even though they deny it.

How was the Valentine's party?! good I hope, I am sure there was lots of candy, ha my v-day package felt so heavy..it made me smile that it was heavy and it was like all candy-loved it. Mom thanks for the letters and daily quotes I truly love them and they seem to always fit perfectly for the day...I need to write them all in the journal you gave me so that i can have them all in one place. That's another question should I keep my dear elders/send home..of course there are some great ones I want to keep for when I get to a different country but yea I don't know, advice? Let's see I also still need the "recipe" for the oil and water thing to spray on my sheets when I am in Chile  and about the phone-i have NO idea if that is allowed or not...we've just been told about the calling cards to buy in the book store. Oh also if you can find any chocolate covered cinnamon bears sure send them my way...they seem to always be out at the book store and I've been craving them for so long.  I don't really have any specific nail polish colors unless you see like a light peach color that would be awesome. Hope everyone has a fantastic week. love you all and i only have one more p-day in the MTC after today....CRAZY!! Thank so much for everything; support, testimonies, letters, and encouragement, and the way you all live your lives. I'll send pictures later. Remember it's all about LOVE.

Also I appreciated Austin's advice on the language. I can't believe I'll be in a different country in less than 2 weeks!!

Hola Hola

Familita!

How is everyone doing? haha I finally received Dad's Dear Elders...poor Dad, maybe one day he will catch up with the technology these days haha :). Mom, I love your letters and I know you may think you don't have much to tell  me, but I do love just hearing about your days and how life is back home. How is the house coming/furniture picking out?

I appreciated all of Dad's letters and great advice. I also liked the one where he shared insights from his area meeting. I also shared what Austin learned on his mission with my companion and she loved it- It's so true; Joseph Smith was the first investigator of the Church in this dispensation and Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ were the first companionship- I love that!

Alright well we have 800 new missionaries as of yesterday, so I hear..and 1000 more next week..it is getting crazy here, sometimes I go into the cafeteria for lunch and dinner not even wanting to eat because the lines get so long..but some days they aren't too bad. We've had a bunk added in  our room so we have 6 beds in a room...we don't have new roommates yet though. I have heard they may start putting mattresses on the floor...so this could get fun, I am more than 1/2 way done though...although there are more sisters with calls then there are out in the field right now...which means we are going to have to learn to train super fast! Oh I don't know if I told you guys but we were told that soon they may have to have the Devotionals in the Marriott Center....ah those lucky missionaries who get to take a nice walk ha.

It is a bit scary, but like Mom's letter reminded me and from our special sisters meeting on Sunday, the Lord will make a way and we just have to step up to our calling. Our Branch President's wife, Sis Sanchaz, talked about how when they were called to serve in California, she was super nervous thinking about what a woman in southern California had to be like, in a sense of being fashionable and things, but she soon learned a women in Southern California needed to be very spiritual  She just touched on no matter how qualified you feel, how important it is to just step up to the plate and get it done! On a mission you find that to be more true than ever-and I am not even out in the field yet...I pray ever night that I will have the strength I need to be a good hard working missionary in Chile.

Well I had my first fast Sunday as a missionary. It was a nice Sunday, We sang a musical number as a district in Sacrament- "Redeemer of Israel" ...of course the Spanish version :). I also had the opportunity to bare my testimony in Spanish as much as I could, it was great. Saying goodbye to people in our zone was sad-it's kinda sad to realize we may not see these people again. You truly do learn to grow and love your zone and district, they truly become your family and friends while on the mission- and Heavenly Father will help you have love for them! All things are possible through Him!

One important thing that I have learned this week and that has been touched on in the Devotionals is regardless of where we are with our testimonies we have one, and we always have room to grow, we need to continue to ask God questions and a witness will come. Benson L. Porter and his wife spoke on Sunday and he talked of an experience where he was in middle school and didn't really know if he believe in Joseph Smith seeing Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, and then one day he was asked to play Joseph Smith for a movie....he said that experience helped him gain his witness. We need to ask and go and act and we will know. He also touched on the fact that it's not about being the funniest missionary or the well liked missionary it's about doing our part in sharing the Gospel, I loved that because of course everyone here especially surrounded by missionaries you want to be well liked...but it's not about that it's about sharing the Gospel...I feel like it's very important for all of us to learn that.

Tuesday night's devotional was given by Elder Don B. Clarke. He shared a story about when he was in Panama so I listened very carefully and thought of my brother. The story was of him seeing a little boy before going into the chapel praying, after the meeting he asked the little boy why he was praying the boy 13 years old there with his younger brother said he was praying that he would feel the Spirit in that meeting. We can learn a lot form a 13 year old, just think about it how often do we pray personally that we will feel the Spirit. I loved that story.

He than went on to teach us about how we should teach and testify. He expressed how important it is to get converts rather than baptisms.  It's our responsibility to help converts be active in the church, help them if they don't have an assignment, don't blame the Bishop just get one assigned. And we should always know where they are in the Book of Mormon. I also love how he said we should take special care to know of the new baptisms within 12 months of the area we are in..if we don't care about someone else's converts, no one will care about ours. He also promised if we will put all our effort into caring for less actives where we are- God will make sure someone is taking care of ours (such as back home and such). it was really a great talk- wish I could just send the whole thing your way. Our district devotional after the Devotional was so powerful, we had the Spirit there and we are really growing to be like a family  He also taught that we should teach with true conviction that it REALLY happened...Joseph saw God the Father and His son Jesus Christ, Christ is our Savior and was not just a man on the earth, it all REALLY happened and when we are teaching our lessons we need to talk about it like it REALLY happened, because it did! We were also told that we were the Superbowl :)...but you know as missionaries you kind of forget of things happening.. especially when you are in the MTC surrounded by non worldly things.

Okay so funny story of the week- even though you don't know him hopefully you'll find it funny. My "old' District leader-we have a new one now- got up from the lunch table and started walking to go get more food we all look over at him and he has this huge thing of who knows what on his pants in the buttocks region ..I tried so hard to hold back laughing but I couldn't and we didn't all want to yell across the lunch room, so then when he came back he said some Elder in line tapped his should and was like "uhh Elder you have something on your pants" so of course he didn't know what it was so he just kinda wiped it away and he was like "oh did I get it?" and the elder was like "uhhh no"..so than Elder Alonzo continues to ask him for help haha. He said the Elder got so embarrassed ..haha anyway moral of this hilarious story that you may or may not find funny...always do the seat check!! Just imagine an Elder walking with confidence across the cafeteria with beans on his pants...so funny yet so sad.

The temple was amazing of course, we really are so spoiled to be able to go every week, I love it...only 2 more times ahhh!!! oh man I can't believe I'm going to Chile so soon. Oh Me and Hermana Stott ran 5 miles yesterday and did some weights...yea how many missionaries can say they ran 5 miles on their missions....haha okay maybe Parker can, but he is an exception ha. So yea our P-day today is going to be full of relaxation, letters, laundry and nail painting...yes I have painted my nails every p-day so far..so if you see any cute not too flashy nail polish sure send it my way :).

Friday we had TRc's which I LOVE!!! Because we get to just talk with real people and help them know that they have a Heavenly Father who can help them with their problems and the Doctrine of Christ can give them a clear direction in life. It was so fun. Me and Hermana Stott shared our testimonies of why we came on missions with one sister and than just helped another sister understand the importance of personal revelation through prayer.

We met our new investigator (Irma) yesterday  which means yes that was our first door approach ..I was so scared, but if we just let the spirit guide, we will be prompted to know which questions to ask and what to say..it's so cool!  So Irma, what we know about her is she is about 30, divorced and has 2 teenage girls..and she works like all day at Taco Bell, so yes I think she really needs the Gospel in her life.

Alright well I think that's about it, haha like Austin mentioned the length of emails... I am really trying to cut down  but it's so hard, you know me I love giving the play by plays. Well I love you all! Remember the Church is verdadero and Heavenly Father loves you and has given us a Savior so that we can return to him- Christ will always be here to help us overcome ANYTHING. oh as far as the language..ahh it's coming along I guess, I just need to not be afraid and just speak it, I need to do more of the Spanish and just get it in my mind. oh and Mom, you should come sing here...you could be one of the senior couples soon :)

Hola Hola!

Hola Familia!!!
Como estan?! I got dad's short email this morning and hopefully I'll be receiving his Dear Elders this week! Mom, thanks so much for the first small surprise package...it was great, I loved everything. Hair ties and the Nu-go bars...we get hungry here and we aren't allowed to eat in the classrooms anymore because they are having a problem with mice...so we get SO hungry..it's great to have something to eat at night..and let's be honest vending machine food isn't the best. Here I am on another great P-day..the weather now is beautiful and none of us (like the poor old senior missionary) slipped on the way to the temple. Ah I love seeing nature and God's beautiful creations. And I got waffles for breakfast at the temple today... DELICIOUS!
I loved Austin's email. I just love reading missionary mail..it's weird exciting to think i am one of those missionaries now. Let's see so since I am such a "organized" missionary these days I wrote out an outline last night of what I want to tell you ..so hopefully I can get this sent to you in a timely manner. And not forget to write anything.
So guess what?! I gave my first talk in Spanish for sacrament meeting this past Sunday! Everyone of course was nice and said I did a great job, and the Zone Leader came up and asked if I had had previous Spanish because I did so well....so I guess I did pretty good..it's amazing how the Lord helps you and how inspired my Branch President was to call upon me to talk. I needed the confidence that if I opened my mouth I could do it! I spoke on del don de Espirtu Santo (Gift of the Holy Ghost if you can't tell)
Well I give my thanks again for all the letters and packages. I am so grateful for such supportive family and friends!! Kate thanks again for keeping up the blog..I hear it's going great ;). I will hopefully be able to write hand written letters to everyone who has sent me Dear Elders...if not you know who you are and THANK YOU! Mom, I haven't gotten the shot yet, I will probably get it in a couple weeks. Mom I enjoy all your small Dear Elders and the uplifting quotes..they are great!!!
Speaking of uplifting our speakers Tuesday were L. Whitney Clayton and his wife! It was fun to think I have served them meals at the JSMB..yea I am pretty legit. Anyway their topics were AMAZING. Of course Sis Clayton was very sweet, I loved how she touched on opposition and how we shouldn't be afraid of it. She said "The Hard way is usually the best way". I love that quote because it's so true, the best blessings and satisfaction come from us doing the hard things when we are able to come closer to our heavenly father and work hard with struggling investigators to see their relationships with Christ grow...ah can't wait for that moment. She also touched on seeing the good and having a happy heart always!
Elder Clayton spoke on the importance of companionships and teaching two by two. My favorite point in his talk was where he pointed out in the song "Love One Another"- love one another, by this shall all men know ye are my disciples.  I love that!!! I have never thought of it that way but, it's so true that by our actions and love towards our companions all shall know we are His disciples.  Oh I also sang in the choir that night..yea I am also learning how to sing while I am here (ha I wish) but we sang "Jesus once of humble birth"...this song has a great story, I encourage you all to read over it and think about the story and focus on he once was but NOW...ahh it's great!
After the devotional i had an interview with Bro Davis (member of branch pres). It was really great and one thing he reminded me of was not to compare myself to others right now as a missionary and even in life as a mother and wife...as long as we are being diligent and doing our best we are accepted by the Lord.
So one thing I loved learning about this week was the importance of prayer through conversion...we can see many miracles like Laman and Lemuel, angels but we will not truly be converted until we ourselves pray with the intent to do what God asks and receive a confirmation that it's true.  We also need to remember our relationship with our Heavenly Father...we are his children..continue to pray always!!! Prayer is so powerful!
so a District in our zone going to Mexico who have been here for like 11 weeks or something finally got reassigned. The ones going to mexico are going to the Ogden Utah mission and the ones serving in Peru are going to Mesa. They are really excited to get out in the field (they are all Elders)...so you can imagine their restlessness....
Since my companion is Coordinating Sister I get to go with her to take the new Sisters to their dorms...the 4  new ones we got yesterday are in a different newer building than us...they are lucky!! But I am sure the ones we are in are preparing us for Chile. Anyway I love going with her because we get to be there to comfort the new girls and bear our testimonies on the specialness of this experience and learning exact obedience in the MTC...the more I am here the more  I see the importance..we are representatives of Jesus Christ, Satan is going to try his hardest to tempt us..the rules are here for our protection...whether we see it now or not..I know they will protect us/me.
So fun thing for the week....umm I don't remember what day since they all blend together but one night as we were going back to the dorms our roommates Hermana Plothow saw the fire extenguisher and said "it would be fun to use that sometimes" and than she was so excited to get to bed early that night before 10....but she had jinxed us and someone burnt their popcorn and set the fire alarms off...we had to be redirected into a different building for like 20 min...and of course our room is right by the microwave...we got the great smell of burnt popcorn smoke..thankful the firemen brought fans...but this reminded me of my oh so sweet baby sister, Katelyn, who loves to over cook and burn and smell up the house ;), she'd fit right in here :).  And then like the next day the workers in the building we have class in set the fire alarms off..we're just loving it here :).
Let's see I think that's about it. It's cool to be a missionary and the beginning of "history" with all these girls coming in, I'm sure you guys have heard of the 2nd MTC in the world that's going to be the Mexico...that's so cool!!! Just think of all the people the missionaries are going to help and in such a short time...we truly are in the last days! I love you all!!! Oh this week for service we washed windows, the great thing is when we clean them they are already pretty clean so it doesn't take long...and our showers drain, YAY!!
les amo (I think that means love you all... I am still working on my grammar . Thanks for all your prayers and support. I hope everyone is staying safe and doing well..hopefully Jonny and Rach and family are feeling better. love you guys!
con amor,
Morgan
